What this means
Print files are refused for a draft product. A draft is not published, so its code resolves to nothing — printing it would put a barcode on a pack that leads nowhere until somebody remembers to publish.
Why it usually happens
Almost always sequence. Artwork is wanted at the point the pack design is being signed off, which is often before anyone has published the product record.
