What this means
Print files are refused for a retired product, and this one does not come back. Retiring is permanent: the code keeps answering scans forever, because packs in the field still carry it, and it says the product is no longer available.
Why it usually happens
The product was retired deliberately at some point, by somebody with an admin role. The audit log records who and when.
What to do
There is nothing here to restore, and that is the point of the state. If this product is genuinely coming back, it comes back as a new product with its own GTIN — reusing a retired one would send scans of the old packs to the new product.
